At what level should I start? Energize Yoga is the most beginner friendly studio! We have 15 classes per week in our “school” room, taught by seasoned teachers.
These classes are aimed at helping you start your practice on the right foot, learning the basics of body mechanics and alignment. We also see many seasoned yoga students practicing with us in our Foundations classes on a regular basis, to practice their alignment, get questions answered, work on an interest in their practice, an injury, or simply to deepen their practice.
Beginners can start anywhere, but can benefit the most by trying classes in this order:
- Gentle Foundations & Restore
- Flow Foundations & Restore
- Deep Stretch Flow
- Flow Jungle, Flow JungleRx & Sweet Heat Flow
While our Sweet Heat Flow classes are challenging and sweaty, they are accessible! We recommend all students have a varied practice. Yoga is a healing art, and learning and regularly practicing alignment and therapeutic thinking is an important backbone of your practice.

We also offer Yoga 101 – 6 Week Series for brand new beginners. Meets every Tuesday evening and repeates every 6 weeks. It is recommended you start at the beginning, but you can join in anytime.
